In Hong Kong’s fast-paced urban environment, long hours at the desk can leave you feeling blocked, stuck, or overwhelmed. Time may seem to slip away in a blur, disconnecting you from your body and mind.
This workshop, led by Dr. Melody, explores how dance and free movement can help you break through these barriers and access "flow" — a psychological state of effortless immersion where time feels distorted, stress diminishes, and creativity and clarity thrive.
Drawing on positive psychology, somatics, and movement science, you'll participate in gentle, accessible movement activities designed to reconnect you with your body and cultivate a sense of ease and presence. When in flow, stress melts away, your mood lifts, and a renewed sense of vitality and connection emerges—empowering you to face your busy days with more focus, joy, and resilience.

Chronic stress, lingering injuries, and habitual tension can create mental and physical “blockages” that hinder our sense of ease, clarity, and vitality. These obstacles aren’t just physical — they affect our emotional well-being and our capacity to engage fully with life.
In this series, Dr. Melody guides you through mindful movement practices rooted in the concept of psychological flow—a state of focused immersion and effortless engagement. Through gentle, intentional dance and movement exercises, you will learn to cultivate awareness, release mental and emotional barriers, and deepen your capacity for presence and ease.
